Why Obama visited Puerto Rico - Florida, Florida, Florida

The President has studied his maps well and knows he cannot win the election with out the Florida vote. So he is going the extra mile and went to Puerto Rico. Not since 1961 when President John Kennedy went there has a president visited. Kennedy went there for another reason. But the Puerto Rican vote has always been a high denominator in Presidential elections.

There are 800,000 Puerto Ricans living in Florida, and they are not like the Puerto Ricans in the north, these in Florida can and do switch their vote often. Voting is very important with Puerto Ricans.

Not until election night 2012 will we find out if this extra effort paid off, but I am sure it made difference to some and may swing the vote his way, and could make a difference. This state right now it is not clear which way it will go, and will be pivotal in 2012.

The Flashy Smile - Obama

One of the things I dislike the most is the President's flashy smile. He used it on Sunday through much of his interview with Bill O'Reilly. You say, "Oh now they are even criticizing the way he smiles". I look at it not as a smile but more of a I gotcha fooled smile. Because behind that smile he's mind is running as to whether this is a catch question or not. Most of the questions were forth right and, not to through a monkey wrench in, so O'Reilly could get as many questions answered as possible. Obama has a way of taking a question and running with it to use up the time. But behind that smile is a lot of deceit and lies. O'Reilly did ask him point blank if he believed in redistribution. "NO", he said.  On this question Obama downright lied.  Once again the flashy smile. Repeatedly he has tried to get through programs to redistribute the monies, making everything fair. My mother used to say life is not fair Marna, if someone down the block gets a new house doesn't mean you will.

O'Reilly asked him another point blank question about health care if it were taken down and failed. Obama only said he would be OK if he got previous condition in. I doubt that is the only thing he is concerned about in health care, and once again the flashy smile.

Then the big question of the day O'Reilly asked about the Muslim Brotherhood. Obama refused to admit they are a dangerous terrorist movement. How could he when for the last two years he has been trying to convince them they are not our enemy.  We know he has two sides, the one he presents to us and the one working behind the scenes. He is daily dealing with the Muslim Brotherhood as the chaos continues in Egypt.

Although O'Reilly did ask him some pretty hard questions he gives the impression of softpeddaling him. Perhaps he feels this is the best way to get the most out of Obama.  I do get a  little frustrated with him that he doesn't just lay into him. After all the man has almost demolished our economy and leaving a big mess to his predecessor. Not to mention us paying for all of it.

The flashy smile doesn't fool me anymore.

Defiant Iran Sends Up Missile One Day Before Nuclear Reactor Fueling

A defiant and aggressive Iran wants to show it's strength by saying to the world we are one step closer to a nuclear weapon. Clearly the Obama administration is trying to play this down. They made a statement that they think we are one year dash time before Iran has nuclear weapons. They say one year is a long time. Not long enough in my mind as it could even come before then. And clearly Russia is trying to aid them in this. And how much is going on between them behind the scenes we don't know. This is coming down to bombing Iran or be bombed by Iran.
Here is Obama administration policy- we will extend an umbrella- in other words we will attack if they send off a  bomb. One bomb could wipe Israel off the map. This in my mind also shows clearly Obama does not want to face this. You cannot soft peddle this problem. He said recently that he would be OK with realizing that Iran would have nukes. This will send off an arms race in the middle east, as all the counties would feel they need to protect themselves.
I get the feeling they are trying to down play a serious situation. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is not worried about what Pres. Obama thinks. Right now his primary concern is to protect his own country. We got a little upset over some missiles aimed at us one time and why should Israel be any different.
I wonder how the previous administration would handle this. I kind of know by the stand a certain President took after 911.  Clearly this administration has different goals, but are they going to stand up in a serious situation like this. Is Obama willing to accept a nuclear Iran? Will Israel stand for it? Those are the two questions facing us today.

President Suing Arizona Backfiring on Him

This is the worst  kind of politics raising the hopes of Latinos that the Pres. is going to pass a bill that leads to amnesty. These Hispanics are looking up to him. Can you imagine the emotion these people are going through? Thinking that they could be uprooted and then being given false hope that everything is going to be OK. All because this President realizes he is failing in the polls. Recent poll shows he is loosing support  of Hispanics by 13%. Presidents response sue Arizona. He is playing a pretty serious game that could and probably is backfiring on him.
Interesting in flying here yesterday I brought Karl Rove's book "Courage and Consequences" to finally get it finished. I read it on the plane. And here on Page 469, I was caught off guard with Karl's words" Many Democrats refused to deny any welfare benefits to illegal aliens." But here is the clincher. "They also opposed any guest worker program-but rather than kill it outright, they wanted to make it impossible to operate." He continues, "So organized labor got Reid to allow votes on an amendment that would limit the side of any quest worker program[rather than making the size depend on the number of available jobs] and end it in five years[which meant fewer companies would participate.].  One of the senators that voted in favor of labor, Illinois freshman senator Barack Obama.
If you get my drift here he used the worker quest program to vote against Pres. Bush's immigration bill. Now in order to get the Hispanic voters he literally reverses his belief and is wanting to make a huge renewal call for massive numbers of worker permits[for worker quest programs.]
Clearly you must see the hypocrisy of what he is doing. But in his move to sue Arizona a huge amount of independents are rising up in anger.  One thing they do not want, illegals working here, many of whom, pay no taxes.  Pres. Obama has made another huge mistake. Arizona is gaining rapid support.
Why? No one likes a bully. Especially coming from the President and of course the unpopular Federal Government. He has taken a huge gamble to try to keep these voters and it is backfiring in his face.

It's Quite Humiliating

Really when you think about it it's quite humiliating. We are the greatest country on the earth and we can't figure out how to plug a hole with oil running out. Does it really help for congressmen to spend 6 hours,who don't really know how to plug the hole yelling at an oil man who doesn't know how to plug the hole either? And do these hearings really prove anything anyway?  I found most of the discussion pretty nonconstructive and rather boring. And I hope Waxman goes away soon. I am tired of him. So was the time spent profitable? Did we find out anything new except that everyone from the President on down bungled the ball  and left it literally in our court to fix. Nothing was really solved and the hole still isn't plugged. I don't know what God is trying to tell us. And are we learning anything from it, except that the President spends a lot of time going to ball games and golfs on the weekend.  Actually the only thing that is going to come of this is the gas companies will use it to raise our gas prices. As usual it is us the little people, or small people the Brits call it, end up paying for the entire mess.  I hope this judge puts and end to the stoppage on drilling, before foreign companies come in a buy these rigs and we will loose that income as well as all the other income we have lost in the last year an a half. And the Dems amazingly think Obama is doing a great job and can't see beyond their nose what a mess this country is in.  It's really quite amazing. While congress by the way gave themselves a pay raise and cut social security increases. Maybe they could be the example and cut their salary's and show the way. Not this congress. Now they will have to make more laws on how to stop this from happening again. No wonder Washington is broken. And no one knows how to fix it. It's an endless cycle that only proves the Fed's have too much power, making too much money and doing little for us.The answer decrease this useless Federal government and give power back to the states. Our example Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan had one goal in mind when he first ran for office-he wanted to give the power back to the American people and reduce the size of the government. He knew he could succeed by rallying the majority of the American people to stand with him. We need a presidential candidate who will follow that same example. We will only get better if we decrease the federal government and return power back to the states. Something Barack Obama would hate.

Have No Fear

There are some who say Iran is very close to having nukes and it could be sooner than we think. According to some experts Iran could have nukes any day now. Iran is a regime that believes it could bring back their Messiah, the twelfth I man, Mahdi, a messiah figure if an Apocalypse takes place. There will be no more sanctions against Iran as China considers Iran a client of theirs and would hinder trade involvement.
Who is watching this even closer than us? Israel. After all these missiles are aimed at Israel's back yard and Netanyahu is on his toes. I believe this is one of the reasons why there was such a short session with Pres. Obama a few weeks ago. Although there were also some other politics going on in the back ground you really don't want to know about. But have no fear if Pres. Obama does nothing which looks like this is most possible, Israel will take care of itself. After all Israel according to the scriptures is the apple of God's eye. What does that mean? They are a special people close to the heart of God. Remember the six day war massive armies came up against Israel and with God's strength they were stood down. I have no fear of the situation because Israel can take care of it's self. And it will make Pres. Obama look like a wimp. That is what he deserves for snubbing God's special people and their leader a few weeks ago. I have faith in Israel and their God because He is our God also. God will take care of this situation and He alone will get the glory. Have no Fear. Marna
